Last-minute Trip

At the last minute, we hopped on a plane and headed to Utah for the Memorial Day weekend. We figured we could find my grandparents and Uncle Rick's family out at Last Chance Lakes (www.lastchancelakes.com) skiing and enjoying the sunshine, and we were right.

Before we got to the lake, we stopped at my Aunt Sue's house and hung out with a bunch of family including three of my cool cousins - Olivia, Zane, and Brody. Aunt Sue treated us to a great dinner and each of us kids even got TWO desserts! I give the Aunt Sue restaurant experience Two Thumbs Up!

After that, it was off to the lake! The St.Jeor's joined us and we played and
played and played. We built sand castles, jumped in the water, water skied, played on the swing set, played in the hot tub, road the 4-wheelers, jumped off the roof of the dock, dove in the construction dirt, paddle boarded, and soaked up the sun. The lake house my grandparents and Uncle Rick and Aunt Margo are building is almost done - it looks amazing. Once it's done, I may just never leave!

Before we headed home, my parents and grandparents enjoyed a round of golf - they didn't invite me. Perhaps it had something to do with my little golf course incident a few weeks ago (see "Gas Pedal" blog post for more details). But check out the course they played at - this is the view from the first hole. They had to hit their first shot off the tee box, over four cart path trails, to the grass you see in the picture below - sweet! I, instead, scored big and hung out with my buddies Tristan, Landon, and Brody. They just moved to Utah from DC, so this was a bonus playdate.

Here's a pic of me, Brenna, and Tate - just because my mom loves this picture.
