Like Spaghetti and Meatballs

The past few weeks have been filled with lots of things that go together perfectly, like spaghetti and meatballs. (My mom says she doesn't have time to type tonight, so we're posting more photos than words this time.)

First, big brothers and little brothers - they go together perfectly!

Next, snow and walks on the trail...

Babies and messes....

And finally my race cars and my football helmets - hey, like I said, just like spaghetti and meatballs!

New Year, New Fun

We're just seven days into 2014, and I've already packed in lots of fun. For starters, I got to meet the Markey family - Bodie is so right, those guys are awesome. We capped off 2013 by playing at their house and checking out all of their cool toys.

My Nana and PopPop were in town for New Year's day so we headed to my aunt Karen's house for a visit. I got a bunch of really cool gifts including a stuffed rocking horse and a giant, bright-colored octopus - can you tell how much I love it!?!?!!

The next day we headed to The National Building museum with the Oliphants. Everyone played in the Building Zone, ran laps in their gigantic lobby, tossed pennies in the indoor pond, and then headed upstairs to explore a second exhibit - all while I slept in my carseat! I was awake to watch our moms try and build a giant arch with these huge, squishy blocks. Unfortunately for them their efforts resulted in this...oh well! So many cool things to do in one place - Thanks Oliphants!
We got our second bit of snow and pretended like it was a blizzard. (Bodie is getting better on timing his jumpers!) A few weeks ago, my dad told Bodie that his bike had snow tires on it - why? I'm not sure either. And if snow tires are made of durable, slick plastic, then that's exactly what he has. But Bodie never forgets stuff and the minute he saw the snow, he yelled, "I need to ride my bike because it has snow tires on it!"
Bodie was going as fast as he could on the iced-over driveway and sidewalks - he looked like the Tasmanian Devil on ice. Surprisingly, an hour of his activity did not end with a trip to the Emergency Room, though most of his "stops" looked something like this...
Lastly, we have been enjoying as much football as we can - playing, watching, whatever! My dad and I took on Bodie in our front yard before the storm and it's clear to see who was victorious...

We cheered on our Niners on to victory last night - my mom even let Bodie wear his 49er shirt under his sweater to church (anything for good luck!) If the past week is any indication of 2014, I have no doubt it will be a lot of fun!
